Together, we explored a wide range of cybersecurity topics:

  • Networking fundamentals for hackers
  • The stages of penetration testing and industry standard tools
  • Malware analysis techniques, both static and dynamic
  • Indicators of compromise, YARA rules, and file hash analysis
  • Safe malware execution and sandboxing practices
  • Dynamic analysis through monitoring network traffic, registries, processes, malicious DLLs, APIs, and strings
  • Practical exploitation of OWASP web application vulnerabilities, including injection vulnerabilities and Google dorking techniques
  • Best practices for developing secure web applications, including preventing session hijacking and common web-based attacks

The sessions combined both theoretical concepts and practical demonstrations to provide participants with hands-on experience across multiple areas of cybersecurity.
